He has VERY SMALL RACES! There were 16 participants in the Half Marathon and 13 in the Full Marathon. No race numbers are given out but you do get an "official" time. I saw LOTS of Marathon maniacs out running this race but I think I was the only Half Fanatic. i had to try at least one of these "races" for myself. Was it a race like we all know? No-but was it an organized "race" with tech t-shirts and medals for all finishers and trophies for the top 3-Yes. So it's a toss up. I ran it like a race!

Took everything I had to get to that finish line-then I had another attack on my way to the medical tent! One of my toughest races!

But I do not like running in sun and heat-and we had both! My Garmin watch strap broke-so I ran with it in my pocket-at mile 5.44 it stopped-so I ran "naked" for the entire race-it was somewhat freeing and I realize I run the same pace with or without a garmin. The course was nice-relatively flat-only a few hills. Alot of people got PR's!
