47 Swan Lake Marathon 06/09/13 Viborg SD 6:28:00 Marathon         Strong headwinds, driving rain, and thick mucky roads made this one pretty difficult.
46 Marathon to Marathon 06/08/13 Marathon IA 5:45:00 Marathon
45 Lincoln National Guard Marathon 05/06/13 Lincoln NE 5:28:55 Marathon
44 Army Marathon 04/21/13 Temple TX 5:27 Marathon         Nice, rolling course, protected well from trafic, beautiful weather. My only gripe is the insane three mile hike afterward to get to the parking area.
43 Vernonia Marathon 04/14/13 Banks OR 5:55 Marathon
42 Navy marathon 03/24/13 Corpus Christi TX 4:42 Marathon
41 El Paso Marathon 02/24/13 El Paso TX 06:10 Marathon 321       Huge wind storm with blowing sand in the middle. They shut down the course and didn't realize I was still out there. I got lost, no directions, wondering in the wind storm - I finished, though.
40 Javalina Jundred 10/27/12   AZ   Marathon         Gah.
39 Vermont 100 07/21/12 Silver Hill Meadow VT 19:29:00 100 km 431 28/ 28     HARD. HILLY. HOLY COW.
38 Angel Fire Endurance Run 06/30/12 AngelFire NM 11:16:51 50 km         Last minute course change was pretty frustrating. The original course was changed pretty dramatically to include a 1500-foot decent and then climb.
37 Taos Marathon 06/10/12 Taos NM 5:41:03 Marathon         Nicely run, plenty of aid. Nice course is never boring, and plenty challenging. The police support is great. It was a tiny race. My time is based on my Garmin; I missed the 5:30 cutoff and so they refused to list my finishing time.
36 Memorial Day Marathon 05/27/12 Lennox MA 6:19:04 Marathon         Loosely run. A long section between miles 8 and 18 lacked anything other than water, so bring a crew. Even some of th aid station volunteers complained about the lack of supplies. At the finish, no water or food was available for back of the pack finishers: they packed it all up and then later said, "you must have missed it." Well, duh.
35 Sehgahunda Trail Marathon 05/26/12 Ledgeworth state park NY 7:14:01 Marathon         Tough. Fantastic, well-stocked aid stations. They really take care of their athletes. Well-marked course and lots of shade, but some of the uphill out and back to aid stations were muddy.
34 Shiprock Marathon 05/05/12 Red Rock NM 5:59:27 Marathon         Turns out I was still recovering from bronchitis and who knows what else; I peed blood at the end of this. However, it's a nice course, very runable, can be hot. Well-supported.
33 Bataan Death March 03/25/12 White Sands NM 6:29 Marathon         Lots of course support. This was an inspirational race, watching soldiers do a long hike with prosthetics. It was tough, hot, and windy at the end, but then thre was food, shade, and all the medical attention you might want.
32 Rock and Roll San Antonio 11/13/11 San Antonio TX 5:29:50 Marathon         Basically, they took and interesting half marathon and routed an extra 13 miles through boring oarks and seedy neighborhoods.
31 Bear Chase 50k 09/25/11 Lakewood CO   50 km
30 Jemez Mountain 50K 05/23/11 Los Alamos NM 11:52:34 50 km         OMG, this was hard! Lots of climbing at high altitude.
29 Kalamazoo Marathon 05/08/11 Kalamazoo MI 5:17 Marathon         BEAUTIFUL town! And so hospitable. Lots of locals were out watching us crazies run around their town. But beware the course profile; this is not as flat as it looks!
28 Wisconsin Marathon 05/07/11 Kenosha WI 4:47:59 Marathon         Very pretty, very very nice people, and flat, flat flat. Some people complained about concrete, but not me. I loved the Bratwurst and Polka Rock band at the end.
27 Flying Pig Marathon 05/01/11 Cincinnatti OH 5:32:04 Marathon         Hands down, the most enthusiastic locals ever. They lined the streets in the rain cheering us on. They even started setting up their own aid stations.
26 Rock and Roll Country Music Marathon 04/30/11 Nashville TN 5:10: Marathon         Hilly. Lots of this ran through old home neighborhoods, lovely! Enthusiastic locals to boot. It got hot at the end.
25 Run Through Time 03/12/11 Salida CO 6:43:00 Marathon         Oh. My. God. I thought I was gonna die. This is the hardest marathon I have ever done. I made each cutoff by successively less time, finally meeting the last 20-mile cutoff by a minute at most.
24 Rocky Racoon 50 miler 02/05/11 Huntsville TX 12:03:00 50 mi         Perfect weather conditions made for a perfect day. Very pleased with my time. This race is so much fun.
23 Ghost Town 38.5 01/16/11 Hillsboro NM 10:40 Marathon         Last running of this course - I took 35 minutes off last year's time despite a massive asthma attack.
22 Tucson Marathon 12/07/10 Tucson AZ 5:13:20 Marathon         Great course. I might have done better if I hadn't done a marathon and a half marathon last weekend.
21 Death Valley Trail Run 11/30/10 Death Valley CA 5:42:58 Marathon         LOVED this course. We ran the "Titus Canyon" course, and it was awesome. Beautiful weather. Race crosses the Nevada/California border Highly recommended! And if you're a 50-stater, the Las vegas marathon is the next day.
20 Javalina Jundred 10/23/10 Fountain Hills AZ 18:40:45 100 km         First three loops went okay, = 46 or so mile in about 11 hours. The last loop the miles came up on me fast.
19 Dowakadoo 09/25/10 Erik OK 7:53:00 50 km         1st overall female (out of 3, LOL). This was a tough but fun trail course. Take a pack and a bandana to carry ice in; the temps were in the upper 80s and the humidity was too.
18 Rio Del Lago 09/11/10 Granite Bay CA 9:59:43 50 km         Tied for 3rd in my age group.
17 Turtle Marathon 09/06/10 Roswell NM 5:33:20 Marathon         Teeny tiny marathon in southern NM.
16 Old Pueblo 50 mile 03/06/10 Sonoita AZ 16:36:41 50 mi         This was a tough course. The long downhills is covered with fist-to-grapefruit-sized angular rocks. Much of the course was a stream (not alongside, the stream, IN the stream) . I stopped counting at a dozen stream crossings. Make sure you toughen up your feet before doing this one. It's hot down in the valley, too.
15 Ghost Town 38.5 01/17/10 Kingston NM 11:16:41 38.5 mi         Wonderful little trail race ultra in the mountains of south-central new mexico. Do youself a favor and stay in T or C because the towns aren't all that crazy about visitors.
14 Palo Duro Trail Run 10/17/09 Canyon TX 8:00:11 50 km         I love this run. I'll do it again, and again.
13 New Mexico Marathon 09/07/09 Albuquerque NM 6:11 Marathon         Long downhill can be tough. Aid station 16 was abandoned by the time I got there.
12 Run the Caldera 06/13/09 Los Alamos NM 7:15:09 Marathon         Climb from 8000 up to 10000 and back down again. TOUGH trail run. I'm gonna do it again. :-)))
11 Rocky Racoon 50 miler 02/11/09 Huntsville TX 18:39:54 50 mi         I had to walk this one. Lots of roots to trip over. Nice, well Ow, Ow, Ow. 50 miles is not my race.
10 Palo Duro 50K 10/16/08   TX 8:25:51 50 km         I love this race. I'm going to do it again next year. The had coke and boiled potatoes at the aid station: wheeeee!
9 New Mexico Marathon 08/31/08 Albuquerque NM 5:39 Marathon 1069       Lots of downhill, some canter between miles 9 and 12. It will make you a little lopsided.
8 Coeur D'Alene Ironman 06/22/08 Coeur D'Alene ID 6:00:00 Marathon 2221       THis was at the end of an Ironman Triathlon, so I was a bit slower than usual, even by my standards!
7 Ogden Marathon 05/17/08 Ogden UT 5:51:57 Marathon 2824 1493/ 1534 631/ 655 62/ 67 Holy cow, I am just as slow as I can be. However, I toed the start line and crossed the finish line. Many others didn't!
6 Grasslands Trail Run 03/22/08 Decatur TX 7:41:21 Marathon   59/ 60 19/ 19   Did this one the day after visiting the ER for ovarian cysts. Also had bad IT Band issues. Not that I'm not slow, but this one was painful. Beautiful course, though.
5 Black Warrior 50K 02/16/08 Moulton AL 8:26:56 50 km 265 63/ 70 19/ 20   My first ultra. I learned a lot of important lessons on this trail run.
4 Mississippi Blues Marathon 01/05/08 Jackson MS 5:43:18 Marathon 73 422/ 458 132/ 149 33/ 35 Pretty typical result for this back-of-the packer! I wasn't expecting all those hills, though.
3 Las Vegas Marathon 12/02/07 Las Vegas NV 5:46:29 Marathon 4670     228 I did this one with the running Elvi. I was dressed kind of like a she-elvis/Priscilla hybrid, in a dress and a wig.
2 Ironman Louisville 08/23/07 Louisville KY 6:20:13 Marathon 1539       The last official finisher. My first Ironman race. A bit of a slow time, but then I did do an iron distance swim and bike before the marathon :0)
1 PF Chang's Rock-n-Roll Arizona 01/14/07 Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe AZ 5:59:52 Marathon 122221 6275/ 6942 2874/ 4936 451 My first marathon. My goal was to beat 6 hours and I did it.
