20 Texas Marathon 01/01/10 Kingwood TX 4:56 Marathon         The only way to start the new year. Excellent race as always, AND I got to meet Walking Diva and Larry Macon!
19 Texas Trails 12/05/09 Huntsville TX 7:22 50 km 42       Excellent race in the woods. 24 degrees at the start, frozen face syndrome for 5 miles, 48 degrees at the end. Perfect weather! My redemption after the awfulness of San Antonio. Good to see Steve G, #456, again.
18 San Antonio RocknRoll 11/16/09 San Antonio TX 6:08 Marathon 23016       A grim lesson in humility! Hot, humid, Personal Worst. 16 mile run followed by 10 mile trudge. Organization and logistics were excellent. Races with 30,000 people just not my kind of fun. BUT . . . . I met THE PREZ and #2 on expo day!! Made up for the train-wreck on race day. Also met #1161 pre-race.
17 Frankenthon Marathon 10/24/09 Cedar Park TX 5:06 Marathon 37       Inaugural Frankenthon. 20 minutes from home. Three loops of Bushy Creek Park. Around 100 runners. Excellent weather, 50 degrees at the start. Great organization. Wished there was a bit less concrete, but nevertheless a lot of fun.
16 Davy Crockett Bear Chase 04/11/09 Groveton TX 5:14 Marathon         A fun run in and around the National Forest.
15 Cowtown 02/28/09 Fort Worth TX 6:06:31 50 km         My first 50K! Very cold and windy, but the sun shone. Excellent course, very well organized. Had a blast. Fort Worth rocks!
14 Surfside Beach Marathon 02/14/09 Surfside TX 5:28 Marathon 91       Wind! Rain! Lovely beach.
13 Texas Marathon 01/01/09 Kingwood TX 5:05 Marathon         THE BIGGEST MEDAL EVER SEEN! And the heaviest. And it was Year of the Bat. And of course an excellent fun race to start the year. Ran with trashed hamstrings, but nevertheless enjoyed myself thoroughly.
12 Andy Payne Memorial 05/24/08 Oklahoma City OK 5:19 Marathon         Very enjoyable run. By virtue of just turning up I got a trophy for 2nd in age group.
11 Grasslands 03/22/08 Decatur TX 5:42 Marathon 114 44/ 60     First trail marathon. Excellent fun. Two of the competitors were dogs with their own bibs. A second Texas Marathon Challenge completed (5 Texas marathons in a season).

8 Marathon of The Americas 11/11/07 San Antonio TX 4:54 Marathon         Great race! Start at the Alamo, finish in the Alamodome, in between run the Mission Trail. Glad to run this before it becomes Rock-n-Roll circus in 2008.
7 M2M 10/13/07 Marathon TX 5:22 Marathon         Hot. Beautiful scenery. 70 people started, 68 of them immediately ahead of me. Had a great time. Passed a few on the way in. Love those hills!
6 Seabrook 03/18/07 Seabrook TX 5:23 Marathon         Oh dear. Failed to understand how humid it was. Hit wall at mile 13, last two loops sheer misery. Great chicken sandwich at the end! Now get my Texas Marathon Challenge jacket.

2 Miracle Match 10/29/06 Waco TX 5:09 Marathon       1/ 7 My one and only time to win my age group! Love those hills!
