11 Philadelphia Marathon 11/23/08 Philadelphia PA 3:58 Marathon 2536       The Twin Cities Marathon (my hometown race) is still the most beautiful urban marathon in America. But Philadelphia is a very close second. It was chilly today, but well organized, on a great course.
10 The North Face Endurance Challenge 10/25/08 Delafield WI 10:48 50 mi 149       I finally completed my first 50 mile race. It was a hilly course but the weather was good and I persevered.
9 Chicago Marathon 10/12/08 Chicago IL 4:20 Marathon 2455       It was hot. I was slow. Still sore from last week. It looks like the heat slowed many people down.

7 Moose Mountain Marathon 09/06/08 Lutsen MN 5:52 Marathon 39       A great point to point race on the Superior Hiking Trail. Very technical. Big hills. Great fun.
6 Paavo Nurmi Marathon 08/09/08 Hurley WI 3:56 Marathon 64       This is a fun race through rural northern Wisconsin. Hurley puts on a good show. This year was the 40th year in a row. You can't beat the Paavo.
5 Voyageur Trail Marathon 07/12/08 Duluth MN 6:07 Marathon 195       I think I broke my foot. But not my spirit. I kept running and crossed the finish line, albeit painfully.

3 Superior Trail 50K 05/17/08 Lutsen MN 7:13 50 km 558       I was slow. Still recovering from an injury. This course is tough. Hilly and technical. But beautiful and lots of fun.
2 The North Face Endurance Challenge 05/10/08 Bellingham WA 8:47 50 km 351       I was coming off an injury. I was slow. And the course was brutal! But great fun.
