97 Leatherwood ultra 04/20/13 Ferguson NC 8:25 50 km         Beautiful but very challenging mountain course. About 6000 ft elevation changes. Nice swag and good aid stations. Slowest 50k since last October.

95 Columbia Marathon 03/09/13 Columbia SC 5:02 Marathon       1/ 4 Beautiful day, great seeing lots of maniacs on the course. Forgot how hilly this one was!
94 Asheville Marathon 03/03/13 Asheville NC 5:22 Marathon         Bitter cold, trashed legs from last weekend made for a miserable day. Still, beautiful course, great volunteers, and well stocked aid stations made it not a total disaster.
93 Black Mountain Marathon 02/23/13 Black Mountain NC 6:14 Marathon         Mud fest this year but great race and well run as usual.
92 Charleston Marathon 01/19/13 Chalreston SC 4:50 Marathon       5/ 11 If you like flat courses for a PR, this is a great course. Cut 40 minutes off last year's time but legs were not fully recovered from previous week's races. Shrimp and grits at the end were delicious!
91 Tsali Frosty Foot 50K 01/12/13 Almond NC 6:43 50 km       1/ 3 Mud, heat, hills. Still managed to cut 50 minutes off previous time on this course.
90 Harbison 50K 01/05/13 Columbia SC 6:48 50 km         This is one of the best 50Ks around. Beautiful course, great swag, awesome volunteers, and a RD who knows what runners like. Great day on the trails. Very happy with my sub 7 hour time as this was a hilly course with majority single track trails. Also cut an hour, 15 minutes off my previous time running this race 2 years ago:)

63 Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon 11/12/11 Fort Oglethorpe GA 5:15 Marathon         Perfect running weather. Ran a steady pace and enjoyed seeing several maniacs along the way.
62 SpinxFest 10/29/11 Greenville SC 5:39 Marathon         Very slow day. Legs not recovered from Cumberland. Lots of Maniacs on the course and we had beautiful weather, a great course, and just a really nice day overall.
61 Cumberland Trail 50K 10/15/11 Caryville TN 9:04 50 km         Killer course. Beautiful fall weather. Well organized with great aid stations, volunteers, and RD Susan Donnelly.
60 Dupont 50K 10/02/11 Brevard NC 7:29:47 50 km         Beautiful day for a trail race. Loved running over the trails I train on. Tough race with over 9600 ft. in elevation changes.
59 Hinson Lake Ultra 09/24/11 Rockingham NC   31.92 mi         Ran 1 less lap than last year. Wasn't feeling too well mid race but with a lap walking and enfusion of some pumpkin muffins I got it going again. Great event.
58 Iron Mountain Ultra 09/03/11 Damascus VA 7:42 30 mi         Very challenging trail ultra with long stretches of rocky trail. About 7500 ft. of elevation changes according to my Garmin. Excellent race organization with well stocked aid stations and a virtual feast after the race. Heat and humidity resulted in DNF's but I managed to make it back with just sore feet.
57 Hot to Trot 8 Hour 08/07/11 Lithia Springs GA 6:28 29.5 mi         Very organized time run event. 1.18 mile loop course. Great aid station with wonderful volunteers. I probably added at least a half hour to my time stopping every lap to eat and tank up. Could not run the entire 8 hours due to family commitments but was happy to get in the miles I did. I felt good despite crushing humidity. Hope to do the full 8 hours next year.
56 Grandfather Mountain Marathon 07/09/11 Boone NC 5:35 Marathon         I just get slower and slower at this one. Thankfully the day was overcast so only had to contend with high humidity and hills.
55 Chattooga 50K 06/26/11 Mountain Rest SC 10:12 50 km         This race was brutal. Heat, humidity, hills. Beautiful scenery along the Chattooga River saved this from being a total sufferfest. This was a Terri Hayes race and well organized as usual.
54 Black Mountain Monster 12 hour 06/04/11 Black Mountain NC   43.5 mi         Gastro problems caused am early exit.
53 Twisted Ankle Marathon 05/14/11 Summerville GA 6:18 Marathon   99/ 122   2/ 3 How appropriate that I would trash my ankle on a downhill about 1 mile from finish.
52 Enoree Passage 40 Mile 05/01/11 Whitmire SC 9:47 40 mi         Tougher than I anticipated. Heat and hills combined to zap energy late in the race. Well organized as is all Terri Haye's ultras are.
51 Sweet H2O 50K 04/16/11 Lithia Springs GA 8:24 50 km       3/ 5 Just as tough as I remembered it. No river crossing due to high water but plenty of creek crossings, mud, and the TOTW two times. Truly an ultra runner's dream race.

49 Tobacco Road Marathon 03/20/11 Cary NC 5:07 Marathon         Very well run. Flat course for NC. Ran for 20 miles on a converted rail trail.
48 Umstead Trail Marathon 03/05/11 Raleigh NC 5:25 Marathon         Nice day for a trail run. Lots of people running this as training for the Umstead 100.
47 Thrill in the Hills 02/26/11 Winder GA 5:47 Marathon         Hilly trail marathon. Will not return. They catered the race to half runners. Very little support on the course during the 2nd loop. Nothing left but a banana to eat when I finished. Gorgeous weather and nice trails made for a nice running day tho.
46 Pilot Mountain Payback 02/19/11 Pilot Mountain NC 6:16 Marathon         Incredibly tough trail marathon to the top of Pilot Mountain and back down again. Great support and beautiful day. I'd say this is the most difficult of all the NC trail marathons I've run to date.
45 Weymouth Woods 01/15/11 Southern Pines NC 8:00 50 km         Almost exact same time as previous week. I spent twice as much time at the main aid station of this race as last week so probably ran this one about 15 min. faster. Not that it matters. Slow or slower!
44 Harbison Forest 50K 01/08/11 Columbia SC 8:02 50 km         You would never have know this was an inaugural race. Everything was well done and the course was great. Lots of hills, roots, rocks, leaves. A trail runners delight.
43 Thunder Road Marathon 12/11/10 Charlotte NC 5:11:20 Marathon         3rd time for this one. Wanted to finish around 5 hours but as usual, the hilly first half fried my legs. Still ran my best marathon of the year. Maybe if I trained I could do better :-)
42 Bartam Forest Marathon 11/27/10 Milledgeville GA 5:18 Marathon         Did the 50K last year but switched to marathon this year. Enjoyed the trail, great food, nice bag for all participants.
41 Marshall University Marathon 11/07/10 Huntington WV 5:27 Marathon         I do not do well on boring courses. This is a great course to BQ...nice and flat, but not my kind of course. Love me some trees and trails.
40 Medoc Trail Marathon 10/16/10 Hollister NC 5:45 Marathon     30 4 Beautiful day, great trails, awesome volunteers, nice tech shirt, medal, and finisher's wind vest.
39 FATS 50K 10/03/10 North Augusta SC 8:42 50 km         One of Terri's ultras. Was a little long, about 33 miles I heard. Had a tough day but gutted it out. Great aid stations and wonderful volunteers. Beautiful weather and trails. Doesn't get much better than that.
38 Hinson Lake Ultra Classic 09/25/10 Rockingham NC   33.44 mi         This was a great event. Really wished I had time to run more laps but after 22 called it a day. It was hot (96) degrees when I left. Great aid station, wonderful volunteers, very easy on the legs crushed gravel loop around Hinson Lake. Will be back next year for more distance!
37 Norris Dam Trail 50K 09/05/10 Norris TN 7:38 50 km     6/ 8 1/ 2 Very challenging race with several killer hills. Only 8 women. Was not last!
36 Landsford Canal 50K 07/17/10 Rock Hill SC 6:53 50 km   22/ 35 7/ 15 1/ 1 Well run race. Earned the Team Slug Ultramarathoners shirt! Hotter than blazes the last few laps. Still managed my 2nd best 50K time. Was real pleased with that considering the temps in lower 90's at finish.
35 Black Mountain Monster 12 Hour Race 06/05/10 Black Mountain NC 11:45 48 mi   4/ 34 2/ 19 1 Mileage and hour PR. Great trail race. Well supported. Warm day and didn't make my goal of 50 miles before time ran out but still a good effort.
34 Scenic City Trail Marathon 05/22/10 Chattanooga TN 5:42 Marathon       2 Beautiful trail race on Racoon Mountain. Heat and humidity started to wear me down, not acclimated yet.
33 Enoree Passage 30 Mile 05/09/10 Whitmire SC 7:18 30 mi         I think this was longer than 30 miles. Beautiful day to run in Sumter National Forest. Another excellent Terri Hayes ultra.

19 Promise Land 50K 04/25/09 Bedford VA 9:36 50 km         Typical Horton race. Probably more like 34 miles. Endless hills and hotter than blazes. Seriously....92 degrees at races end. Loved it!
18 Tsali Frosty Foot Fest 50K 01/03/09 Almond NC 7:33 50 km         My introduction to ultra running. Cold, freezing rain, muddy trails, lots of falling. Somehow, road races will never be the same after this experience.
