17 Black Mountain Marathon 02/28/09 Black Mountain NC   Marathon         Still injured, but who can resist this race? Driving rain and wind with temperatures at the freezing point. Epic.
16 Des Moines Marathon 10/19/08 Des Moines IA 5:37:19 Marathon 1153 1145/ 1356     The dreaded back-to-back. I'm convinced anyone can do it, provided you're okay with punishment. This marathon is excellent, by the way. Pretty hilly from miles 3-9, but excellently organized. HAIR: can't recall. was too shredded
15 Siouxland Lewis and Clark Marathon 10/18/08 South Sioux City NE 4:50:07 Marathon 25 103/ 123     I have been misinformed of the topography of the Midwest. This race had some pretty decent hills. HAIR - Crispy-Moused with Bandanna.
14 Buncombe Trail Run 05/04/08 Clinton SC 6:18:50 34 mi   5/ 21     34 miles in 90 degree heat. No aid stations between miles 20 and 28. Hilly finish. Cue horrid flashbacks. HAIR: SWEATY DELUX
13 Boston Marathon 04/21/08 Boston MA 3:37:01 Marathon         Perfect race. Well worth the effort. Oh yeah, I'm going back to this one. SOCKS: KNEE-HIGH RED+WHITE HAIR: HIGH FAUXHAWK

11 Myrtle Beach Marathon 02/16/08 Myrtle Beach SC 3:15:17 Marathon 5225 85/ 1685   11 I QUALIFIED! - I finally qualified for Boston here! Flat course and typically a horrible shirt. HAIR - BROWN w/ BANDANA
10 Rocket City Marathon 12/08/07 Huntsville AL 3:20:22 Marathon 163 130/ 1271   22 TURN AND ROLL - Another Warm race. 60 degrees at the start. A wonderfully organized race. A bit rolling with lots of turns. I failed to qualify, but had a great time. HAIR = BROWN BED HEAD
9 New York City Marathon 11/04/07 New York NY 3:38:21 Marathon 6725 5717 4821 1765 SEA OF HUMANITY. I just kicked back and enjoyed it. This was my first pain-free negative split. HAIR - BLACK & SPIKED
8 SteamTown Marathon 10/07/07 Scranton PA 3:26:08 Marathon 1456 213/ 1582   36/ 169 SAUNATOWN. It was 60+ degrees at the start (at elevation) and roughly 80 degrees at the finish. It was humid as well, but thankfully we had cloud cover. The race Officials were well prepared... at least it wasn't Chicago. HAIR - BLUE
7 Hitchcock Woods 50K 06/03/07 Aiken SC 5:41:00 60.0 km 24 5/ 31 5   THUNDER STORM/FLASH FLOOD: Tough ultra that was more than the 50k advertised. Ubiquitous sand became mud, and the waist-deep flash-flood was choice. HAIR: HATTED
6 Black Mountain Marathon 02/24/07 Black Mountain NC 4:40:35 Marathon   31     MOUNTAINOUS. Extremelt well-run race with great food, swag, and atmosphere. Tough race but beautiful. HAIR: UNDER COZY WARM HAT

4 Kiawah Island Marathon 12/09/06 Kiawah Island SC 3:31:15 Marathon   154 134 31 PANCAKE FLAT: Can't get much flatter. Was on pace to BQ and ignominiously bonked after mile 20. Delicious post-race food. HAIR: BANDANA FRAZZLE
3 Nipmuck Trail Marathon 05/28/06 Chaplin CT 5:12:00 Marathon   64 56   HARD AS SNOT. This is the toughest marathon I've done. Technical, rocky, hilly, and more than 26.2 if you ask me. Birch log "medal" is choice. Stellar race. HAIR: BEDHEAD DELUX
2 Disney Marathon 01/08/06 Orlando FL 3:32:44 Marathon 2088 460 410 90 DISNEY: THE REVENGE. My best effort to date. A complete gut-out for the last 4 miles, including physical collapse at the finish. Starts a trend of revisiting races I've been unhappy with. HAIR: FIRE ENGINE RED
1 Disney Marathon 01/09/05 Orlando FL 5:00:12 Marathon   3488 2209   FIRST MARATHON. Woefully unprepared. Hit the "wall" at 14mi and suffered from there. Missed my goal by 50 min., but was hooked all the same. HAIR - FAUXHAWK
