4 Wasau Marathon 08/25/12 Wasau WI   Marathon         The only reason to run this race is because it is in August and August marathons are hard to find. For slower runners, like me, you are by yourself for most of the race. Weather was unexpectedly hot.

For a Texas boy like me, I overlooked all that while I was taking in the breath taking scenery. Running over and back across the Golden Gate Bridge was one of the highlights of my running career!

11 Flying Pig 05/06/12 Cincinnati OH   Marathon         One of the best races I have run. Loved the people, loved the city. San Francisco hills have nothing on this race and heat toward the end was unbearable, but had a great time.

ABout half of the course is run through neighborhoods of Dallas, the other half run through a park around a lake. This is a no-frills race: no expo, low quality shirts, medals. Post race food already shut down by time I finished.
