Ran with Jerry, Michael, and Chad from Lake Charles. Planned on 4:20ish, but came out ahead. Decent double loop course, well marked, great water stops. Great weather, but lots of head wind out on the highway. No food left for marathon finishers. |

Out and back course run 100% on the beach. We ran in a thunderstorm from just before mile 1 to well after I finished. Still had lots of fun, though! |

First marathon! Blessed with great weather and extremely well run race! I had lots of fun running with Mike and Chad for the first 14 miles! So engorged by mile 18 that I walked the rest of the course. |
