First that 24 Hour runners were going to cover 100 miles and change races. Then that there was something wrong with the website so they had to sign up as 24 Hour runners even though they wanted to run the 100 miler. Well, the website lists 20 starters for the 100 & I only counted 18. Not sure what to think of the situation. There were three other Marathon Maniacs at this event. I have seen a photo of the 'winner' finishing & it clearly shows him coming in from the direction of the one mile loop which we did at the start. So clearly he did NOT start the 100 mile race. The RD lied to me.
41 Canyon Meadow Trail Run 06/04/11 Oakland CA 5:18:55 50 km 531 6/ 24 6/ 19 4/ 8 A new 50K PR!! It was raining almost all day, pouring at times. Oakland received 15 times the previous record for rain that day. After finishing the race I went out for another 13.1 mile loop.
