Utter bloody cold the whole way. Still, my second best marathon time (w/ 2 head calls). |

Blessed by great weather but tummy got rumbly at 15 after a good first split. Honored to run a short ways with Maniac #2, Chris, at about 16. |

-: Rainy. Lack of portajohns. Dangerous course. Miles not marked well. Food mostly gone for marathoners. +: intrepid volunteers. Hammergel at every stop. Friendly runners.
Don't believe what you read on the posted results: time logged as 3:35 but I definitely ran a 4:05. First, last and only time you'll see me as second overall though...that part's true. |

Got the unexpected honor of running about the first 7 miles with Maniac #1, Steve Yee. Pretty nice weather. 18" snake around mile 29 on the trail tried to strike me...guess he didn't care for the increased traffic. |

4 mph? Sheesh. My first long race in well over a year and my first real trail ultra. Still, after factoring the terrain, weather and conditioning, I recalibrated to a sub 8 and made it. Wish I could've enjoyed the views more. |
