28 Carrollton Festival of Races (Marathon) 07/25/10   MI   Marathon         Nice, slow training run for my upcoming 35 mile birthday run. I ran 1.8 ahead of the start to get in a full 28 mile training run. These course was 3 loops of roughly 8.66 miles each. Not too bad. It was overcast and windy through loop 1. Once the sun came out it got hot fast. Loop 3 was the most fun because you knew you were almost done. Met some great people along the course.
27 Charlevoix Marathon 06/26/10   MI   Marathon         Hot, humid, luckily overcast. I went out way too fast and paid for it after mile 12 (where I felt a 'pop' in my right hamstring). Great out and back course! The medal is awesome!
26 Bayshore Marathon 05/29/10 Traverse City MI   Marathon         Warm & sunny day. Ran with a friend to get her a PR. This was #25 for me. What a great feeling!
25 Lake Wobegon Trail Marathon 05/08/10   MN 4:39:16 Marathon         Very cool morning, with a mix of sun and clouds. Nice tail/cross-wind the entire way. Met/saw several Maniacs at the start. I set out to do a long training run, at a moderate pace, and wound up with a post-baby PR. I am getting closer to a new REAL PR...stay tuned.
24 Glass City Marathon 04/25/10 Toledo OH   Marathon         Did rather well - within 2 minutes of my 'spectacular' run at RNR AZ in January. Probably could've finished faster if the humidity wasn't at 100% and I had I skipped the 20 mile potty stop. Overall, I was pleased.
23 ING Georgia Marathon 03/21/10 Atlanta GA   Marathon         Very hilly. Very, very hilly. The downhills were quad killers to say the least. It was a cool day with scattered showers, which beats heat and sun on hills. It reminded me of the old Run Through Hell where they'd divert you off a rolling course to force you to run massive hills over and over and over. Uggh!
22 Rock N Roll Mardi Gras Marathon 02/28/10 New Orleans LA   Marathon         Beautfiul, flat course. The only issue was the terrible road conditions - even worse than Detroit in some areas. That left my right knee a bit sore. I had a great 12.5 miles and then my daughter's stomach virus and my lingering head cold made their appearance. Still, not a bad time at all.
21 PF Chang's Rock N Roll Arizona 01/17/10   AZ   Marathon         Awesome PR course! Nailed a post-baby PR!
20 Rock N Roll Las Vegas Marathon 12/06/09 Las Vegas NV   Marathon         Day 2 of my first double. The first 10 steps felt like an earthquake through my body. Thereafter, the fun started! All of the Marathon Maniacs I met along the way were fantastic. You really made this happen for me! Thanks especially to Jenn English for pulling me through the tough miles! This was my third Las Vegas course and my first RNR marathon. The course was nice. The start, a wave start, was ridiculous. It took 30 minutes to get to the start line and there were probably 10 corrals behind me. The personalized start line (after the wait) was interesting, but not worth the wait. It was an inaugural RNR so I am curious to compare it to RNR AZ next month. But, most importantly, I FINISHED MY FIRST DOUBLE!!!
19 Death Valley Borax Marathon 12/05/09 Death Valley CA   Marathon         Day 1 of my first double. This was my first time running in a Marathon Maniacs shirt and it made all the difference! I met some tremendous Maniacs out there. Beautiful, simple course. Probably my 2nd favorite of all time.
18 Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon 10/18/09 Grand Rapids MI   Marathon         Don Kern puts on the best marathon - hands down!
17 Cleveland Marathon 05/17/09 Cleveland OH   Marathon         Reminds me of the Detroit Free Press marathon course, minus Canada.
16 Cincinnati Flying Pig 05/03/09 Cincinnati OH   Marathon         Second time at the Pig and the hills wanted their revenge!
15 Grand Rapids Marathon 10/28/07 Grand Rapids MI   Marathon         After my collapse and race cancellation of the Chicago Marathon 3 weeks earlier, followed by a fun time in Detroit 1 week earlier, I let it all hang out in Grand Rapids. What an incredible race! The race director and course support cannot be beat. Run it, you'll love it. I set my post-baby PR that day, only to find out the very next morning that I was pregnant with baby #2.
14 Detroit Free Press Marathon 10/21/07 Detroit MI   Marathon         Wonderful experience with my friend, Tracy. I was asked by the Race Director to be the motivational speaker at the marathon kick-off event. It was an incredible honor.
13 Las Vegas Marathon (New Course) 12/04/05 Las Vegas NV   Marathon         Fun time with my sister-in-law running her first marathon.
12 Marine Corps Marathon 10/30/05 Washington DC   Marathon         Wow! What a way to end my 3 in 3 weeks streak. I was amazed every step of the way. There were Marines at every water station wishing me luck. The history, pride of the Marines Corp and being surrounded by so many incredible and courageous people made this my most memorable marathon.
11 Detroit Free Press Marathon 10/15/05 Detroit MI   Marathon         Second of three in three weeks. Probably felt the best during this one. The weather was perfect.
10 Baltimore Marathon 10/15/05 Baltimore MD   Marathon         First of three in three weeks. It was a rough one mentally, but made it through.
9 Kristine's 30 Mile FUN RUN 08/11/05 Clinton Township MI   30 mi         What better way to celebrate my 30th birthday then to run 30 miles. I had course support the entire time thanks to Rick's Runners! Even got a finisher's medal at the end.
8 Sunburst Marathon 06/05/05 South Bend IN   Marathon         Worst marathon of my life. Hot, humid, poorly marked course, and no hydration from 21 to 24.
7 Cincinnati Flying Pig 05/01/05 Cincinnati OH   Marathon         First marathon after giving birth to my son, Gabriel, in August 2004. Enjoyed hanging at a slower pace and getting a "virgin" to the finish line.
6 Columbus Marathon 10/19/03 Columbus OH   Marathon         This is where it all started. I felt so great after my PR in Detroit that I had to repeat 2 weeks later. Lost about 5 minutes off my time in Detroit, but loved every minute of it.
5 Detroit Free Press Marathon 10/05/03 Detroit MI 4:22 Marathon         My PR (4:22)! Only 1 minute faster than Bayshore, but a PR is a PR.
4 Bayshore Marathon 05/24/03 Traverse City MI   Marathon         Dropped 23 minutes off my PR!
3 Las Vegas Marathon (Old Course) 02/02/03 Las Vegas NV   Marathon         So you get on a bus at 5:00am or so and you're driven 26.2 miles out into the desert and dropped off. I'll never forget the 35mph SUSTAINED head winds, gusting above 50mph.
2 Chicago Marathon 10/13/02 Chicago IL   Marathon
1 Chicago Marathon 10/07/01 Chicago IL   Marathon         My very first marathon
